Dr. Gurbachan Singh is a renowned agronomist and agricultural policy expert. He holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy and an honorary D.Sc., with a distinguished career spanning over four decades.
He has served in key roles including Director, CSSRI; Agriculture Commissioner, Government of India; and Chairman, ASRB. His research spans agroforestry, climate change, drought management, and sustainable agriculture.
Dr. Singh has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award and Harit Ratna. He has held leadership roles in national and international organizations and is a Fellow of several scientific societies.
