Prof. (Dr.) Lachhman Das Singla is a distinguished veterinary parasitologist with over 32 years of exceptional academic and research leadership at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, India as Director of the Human Resource Management Centre and Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Parasitology for two consecutive terms (2011-2015 and 2017-2021), demonstrating sustained excellence in leadership and research.
Dr. Singla's prolific research output includes over 200 peer-reviewed publications with 5045 citations, an h-index of 40, and i10-index of 125, reflecting his significant global impact on veterinary parasitology. His groundbreaking work on vector-borne diseases, antiparasitic drug resistance, and zoo animal health has earned international acclaim. He has represented India at scientific conferences across 17 countries including Australia, Canada, China, France, Italy, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States.
