Ganga Rao V.P.R. Nadigatla is a plant breeder with 26 years of post-doctoral research experience on bread wheat, sunflower, castor bean, pigeonpea and chickpea while working in India and several Eastern and Southern African countries.
Responsible for development and release of 3 wheat varieties and registration of 7 genetic stocks for cultivation and use in the Indian wheat improvement program. Since 2008, based in Nairobi working with International Wheat and Maize Improvement Center (CIMMYT) and International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and responsible for the development and release of 12 pigeonpea varieties through close collaboration with National Agricultural Research Systems in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia.
