Dr. Abdelilah Belatik is a senior executive and recognized global authority in Strategic Governance, Investment Risk, and Organizational Transformation, currently spearheading the strategic realignment of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID).
With over 25 years of international experience across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the U.S., his expertise is built on a foundation of a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Luxembourg, New York, Hong Kong) specializing in financial services, regulatory compliance, and advisory services.
From 2014 until 2025, Dr. Belatik served as Secretary General of the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), transforming it into a global advocate for the industry. His leadership resulted in strategic partnerships with the World Bank, IMF, and the United Nations, focusing on sustainability and FinTech integration.
Dr. Belatik maintains active roles on multiple international boards and advisory committees, including the Public Interest Oversight Board Stakeholders Advisory Committee and the AAOIFI, underscoring his deep commitment to international governance standards and ESG integration.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) and is a frequent speaker on sustainable finance and organizational development in emerging markets.
